These Terms of Service govern your use of the Hidely mobile app and the hidely.app website. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Hidely provides tools to organize and access private photos and videos on supported devices. Features vary by version, device and region. Optional NFC key support, paid plans and encrypted backups may not be available in every release. Website illustrations are representative product previews.

2. Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of the photos and videos you place in Hidely. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to that content and for complying with applicable laws. You must not use Hidely for unlawful activity or interfere with its functionality, security or availability.

3. Access, security and backups

You are responsible for securing your device, vault code and any paired physical keys. If you forget your access code, lose all keys or uninstall the app without a usable backup, access to local content may be permanently lost. Do not assume that automatic backup or account-based recovery is available unless explicitly enabled in your installed version. Maintain independent backups of content important to you.

4. Physical NFC keys

Physical keys are optional accessories and do not guarantee protection against every type of unauthorized access. Availability, compatibility, returns and warranties for any future hardware sales will be specified at the relevant point of purchase. The Hidely app can be used without a physical key.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

If Hidely offers in-app subscriptions, the final price, billing period, trial and renewal terms will be displayed in the App Store purchase sheet before confirmation. Payments, renewals, cancellation and refunds are subject to Apple's applicable terms and local law. You can manage Apple subscriptions from your device's subscription settings. No subscription is required solely to pair a supported physical key.

6. Availability and changes

We may update features, fix issues or discontinue functions where reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may revise these terms and publish an updated effective date when material changes are made.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hidely is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties beyond those required by law. We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including device damage, user-deleted files, forgotten access credentials or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
